A Community Forum is being held in the Dorset Region to assist in the development of an 'Impacts and Opportunities Study'. Public Meeting at Lilydale Community Hall Tuesday night (April 8) 7.30pm to discuss increasing public concerns over the potential sale of another significant Lilydale farming property to a "Forestry Enterprise" for the use of an industrial plantation comprising of Eucalyptus Nitens. The farm in question is adjacent to a certified organic farm and also slopes onto a creek which communicates with the main waterway supplying Lilydales town water supply. Public concerns centre around numerous issues including impacts on Town water supply and other local business. The Planning application is with Launceston City Council. | ||
