What can be done with one stringy bark tree deemed unfit for milling and, destined to be turned into woodchips? The One Tree exhibition showcases the creative talent of over 50 Tasmanian designer/makers, craftspeople, and artists, from all over the island state. This is the first time this national touring exhibition will be shown in Launceston. Since being created in 2001, The One Tree exhibition has toured throughout Australia to wide critical and community acclaim, showing in over twenty locations from Hobart and Darwin, to Perth and Sydney, from major cultural institutions and museums to small community art spaces in regional locations throughout the country. Start: 2007-11-06 6:30 pm
End: 2007-11-06 8:30 pm
Is it a done deal or will it fall over? Is it an economic saviour or a backward step for the new economy? Is it the world's greenest mill or an environmental disaster? The pulp mill debate is far from over. Now is your chance to hear from politicians and an expert panel. Come along to what should be a great opportunity to have your questions asked, with an open session including questions from the floor. Organised by Environment Tasmania Inc, and Facilitated by Dr Peter Hay, School of Geography & Environmental Studies. When: Tuesday 6th of November. 7.30pm | ||
